How is Semble Connect different from ‘integrations’ offered by other EHR and practice management software?

Most EHR integrations are fixed: you get what’s built, and you’re constrained by someone else’s idea of the workflow. Semble Connect is different because it gives you the building blocks to orchestrate your own workflows securely within Semble and across external tools so you can adapt as your operating model changes.

How does the Semble Connector work with Semble?

Semble Connect includes a dedicated Semble connector that’s purpose-built to automate workflows inside Semble, not just move data in and out.

Here’s how it works, in three ways:

1. It listens for real events in Semble. For example: an appointment is booked, a patient record is updated, an invoice is created, a form is submitted. These events can trigger a workflow automatically.
2. It can take action in Semble as part of that workflow. For example: create or update records, set statuses, create tasks, add notes, trigger communications. So you can automate the steps your ops team currently does manually inside Semble.
3. It connects Semble to the rest of your stack using the wider connector library, so the same workflow can continue into other tools such as CRM, comms, finance and reporting, without the team copying and pasting.

How is Semble Connect different from other low code tools?

Do I need to be technical to use Semble Connect?

You don’t need to be a developer, but you do need someone in-house with time to learn and own it. If you don’t have that capacity, we recommend using professional services.

Do we need developers to use Semble Connect?

What’s included with professional services from Semble?

Professional services are charged on a fixed day rate and scoped based on what you’re trying to achieve. The cost covers more than ‘building the workflow’, it includes discovery, solution design, end-to-end testing, and training/hand-over, which is how we make sure the automation is robust and reliable long term. We start with a scoping call to understand how your process works today, where it breaks, and what outcomes you need. We’ll then propose the right automation approach, including business process improvements where needed, and we’ll tell you if Semble Connect isn’t the best fit for your goal.

Can developers use Semble Connect?

Yes. Access to developer tools will be dependent on your Semble price plan. Our developer tooling enables you to build more sophisticated and more efficient workflows which can include creating custom code, multi-step and multi-system orchestrations and accessing the HTTPs connector which let’s you build custom API integrations faster.
