The Semble story

Semble was founded by two friends connected by their mutual desire to change the healthcare industry for the better.

A family member’s cancer and the perceived challenges in healthcare fuelled Christoph’s desire to make a meaningful impact in this industry. Mikael, propelled by his own personal experiences, had also seen the limitations of a poorly connected ecosystem. Both knew change was needed.

Christoph and Mikael were seasoned tech entrepreneurs, but had no prior experience in healthcare. However, a deep-rooted feeling had taken hold: that a more comprehensive, better connected digital solution could offer more effective support for professionals and their patients.

It was here that Semble found its purpose.

Christoph and Mikael worked side-by-side with doctors and support staff, absorbing their concerns about current software and examining how their dream system would improve day-to-day tasks. Most importantly, they observed healthcare staff in action, and saw precisely how their work was affected by ineffective software in real-time.

It’s thanks to those visionary healthcare teams that Semble is the system it is today. Now, we work with thousands of professionals, from individual clinicians to large enterprises, across 70 different specialities.

Together, we have improved and supported the care journey for over 7 million patients.
